F-14 Tomcat
Wide-set engines and variable wing geometry define a naval aviation icon.

Design & history
The F-14 family first flew in 1970. Its wing pivots and widely spaced engine nacelles make a striking comparison with fixed-wing aircraft. The displayed FlightGear asset depicts the F-14B; the date describes the family.
